Skytrain (Millenium Line):
SPERLING/BURNABY LAKE Station is your stop. From there, take the 144 METROTOWN STATION down to Deer Lake Ave & Canada Way (look for the Esso station on the right). Walk south (away from the mountains) past the traffic island onto Sperling Ave – go to 5655 Sperling Ave.
Skytrain (Expo Line):
Get off at METROTOWN Station and then take the 144 SFU to Grange/Oakland and Sperling Ave. Depart and walk north (towards the mountains) down the staircase and onto the north end of Sperling Ave. The house is yellow and on your left – 5655 Sperling Ave.
Bus from Downtown:
Take the 135 SFU bus to Kootenay Loop (just after the Cassiar Connector and the PNE). Transfer to 123 NEW WEST STN and keep going until you reach Deer Lake Ave. and Sperling Ave. (Look for the Esso station). Walk south (away from the mountains) past the traffic island onto Sperling Ave. Go to 5655 Sperling Ave.
Bus from UBC Area:
Take the 99 B-Line east to Broadway/Commercial Drive Skytrain Stations. At Broadway Station (Expo Line), take train to METROTOWN STATION or at Commercial Drive Station (Millenium Line), take train to SPERLING/BURNABY LAKE STATION. See above Skytrain directions to continue from Metrotown or Sperling/Burnaby Lake.
Bus from South Vancouver:
Take the 49 METROTOWN STATION all the way to Metrotown. Then take the 144 SFU as per the Skytrain (Expo Line) directions.
Bus from New Westminister:
Head to 8 St. and then take 123 KOOTENAY LOOP to Deer Lake Ave. and Sperling Ave. (the Esso station will be on the left). Walk south (away from the mountains) past the traffic island onto Sperling Ave and continue to 5655 Sperling Ave.
Bus from North Vancouver:
Take any of 210, 211, 212, 214, 215, 229, 232, 239 to Phibbs Exchange. Transfer to 28 JOYCE STATION and ride to Kootenay Loop. Transfer to 123 NEW WEST STN and follow to Deer Lake Ave. and Sperling Ave. Walk south (away from the mountains) past the traffic island onto Sperling Ave. – go to 5655 Sperling Ave.
Bus from West Vancouver:
Take any of 240, 241, 242, 244, 247, 250, 251, 252, 253, 254, 257, 258 to Burrard and Georgia. Walk north (towards the mountains) to Burrard Skytrain Station. Head on the Skytrain due east to Metrotown then follow directions as per Skytrain (Expo Line).
Bus from North Burnaby:
Buses that come closest to the garden are routes 123, 129 and 144. You can access 123 from Brentwood Mall and 144 or 129 from SFU. Go to Deer Lake Ave and Canada Way (watch for the Esso station) and then walk south past the traffic island along Sperling to 5655 Sperling Ave.
Driving directions (using the highway):
If taking the highway, use exit 33 and head south to Canada Way. Turn left and keep in the right lane. Turn right and keep going straight south. Do not follow the road which will veer to the right, instead keep going south past the traffic island along Sperling to 5655 Sperling Ave. Please try to park in the big parking lot by the boat rental (just before the Eagles Estate) as there is very limited space in the driveway. It’s a short walk south from the parking lot to the edge of the garden.
Driving directions from South Burnaby (w/o the highway):
Head onto Kingsway and go to Willingdon Ave (near Metrotown). Head north towards the mountains down to Deer Lake Parkway (it’s at the bottom of the big hill). Turn right and follow all the way to Canada Way. Turn right and keep going until you reach Deer Lake Ave (watch for the Esso station). Turn right, head past the traffic island along Sperling Ave. to 5655 Sperling Ave. Please try to park in the big parking lot by the boat rental (just before the Eagles Estate) as there is very limited space in the driveway. It’s a short walk south from the parking lot to the edge of the garden.
