More Information:
Every July the grounds begin to change into beautiful hues of blue and purple, and the fragrance guides lavender lovers to the valley in droves. The farm provides guests and customers with a plethora of purple products to choose from including teas, handmade cosmetics, lavender for cooking as well as plants and seeds. This small farm not only attracts lavender-lovers but also butterflies, birds, and beneficial pollinators. Bird boxes, perches and mason bee boxes have been placed throughout the property to encourage this symbiosis on the farm.

The Dowling’s have planted native vegetation to encourage wildlife including snakes and beneficial insects. Deer have been fenced out of some areas but fences are raised to allow raccoons, snake and mink to have a travel corridor. Forest edges & wild grass areas have been left in order to provide food for birds at certain times of the year and no pesticides or chemical fertilizers are used.

To reduce the footprint of the farm, Lynda strives to simplify. Sales are ideally done form the farm to reduce their travel time to market and thus fossil fuel use. Minimal packaging is used for these beautiful products. Lynda’s vast amount of knowledge and spirit can be experienced and delved into as she offers garden planning/consultation and workshops on herbs, aromatherapy, cooking, and growing her beloved Lavender and herbs.
