As part of the Ebells’ commitment to the enjoyment and education of the community, their farm hosts local events, farm tours, a Canada Day Picnic and a regional August food celebration – the Harvest Bounty Festival.
More Information: The farm is a mix of arable land, low lands (converted to ½ acre recreation and irrigation pond), rock outcrops and forest land, much of which is fragile and all precious to the Ebells. Currently, less than half the land is farmed and each year a good percentage is in cover crop. The cropland is fenced to exclude wildlife, but a 100 meter strip of woodland remains available as a wildlife corridor. Visitors are encouraged to come in to see the farm which is a year-round operation. Roads and trails are maintained and a self-guided tour map of the farm is available. |
