TLC Recognizes Five Star Whale Watching and Adrena Line Zip Line Adventure Tours for Earth Day Fundraising Activities
TLC is proud to announce Five Star Whale Watching and Adrena Line Zip Line Adventure Tours will be donating proceeds from their Earth Day activities on Thursday, April 22, 2010 to TLC’s Wild Hills and Beaches Campaign to help purchase Western Forest Products lands in the Jordan River and Sooke Hills area.
Five Star Whale Watching is hosting a special Earth Day cruise leaving the inner harbour at 2 p.m. with proceeds going directly to TLC. “We need the public to remember that 
protecting Vancouver Island’s wild hills and beaches requires long-term funding and commitment,” says Eric Johnson, Five Star’s Owner and President. “Local residents and tourists alike will have access to these amazing lands only because TLC and CRD courageously stepped forward to save them. We all need to make certain they have the financial resources to continue this valuable work.”
Adrena Line Zip Line Adventure Tours is donating $20 from every individual zip line on Earth Day to TLC. “We believe the effort being made to conserve these extraordinary parcels of land is truly worthwhile,” says Jeremy Wilson, Adrena Line Zip Line Adventure Tours Owner. “As a company, we want to do our part for the environment. We are committed to working closely with TLC and CRD in order to become a long-term partner in their conservation efforts.”
In addition to helping fundraise for this valuable acquisition, Five Star and Adrena Line’s goal is to inspire individuals, other businesses and all levels of government to contribute over the coming months to TLC.
