Join the Black Gold Rush
Sign-up for the Composting Basics Workshop taught by experts from the Greater Victoria Compost Education Centre. Lean how to turn your fall waste and kitchen scraps into rich compost for growing next year’s lush vegetables and flowers. Pre-registration is required. Cost is by donation.

Kids’ Krafts
Wear your best costume and join Terralicious in an afternoon of fun and learning. Build a bird feeder, snack on pumpkin cookies and carve a Jack O’Lantern (pumpkins provided – carving utensils and parent supervision required for this post Composing Workshop session). Pre-registration, limit 20 children.

Farm Tours
Take a tour of Haliburton Farm, an authentic, working farm nestled in the midst of suburbia. Meet the farmers who provide our community with fresh, organic vegetables, fruits and flowers. Take a walk on the wild side and view our wetland restoration project and check out our salamander, bee and bird houses.

Farm Stand
Yes, even on Halloween you can buy fresh, local vegetables! Stock up on long-storing winter squashes, iron-rich greens, dried beans and other delicious produce, all grown here at Haliburton Farm.
